To Every Woman This Mother's Day
Mother's Day is beautiful. It is also complicated.
For some of you, today feels like a celebration. Your arms are full, your house is loud, and your heart is overflowing. That is worth celebrating.
For others, today is heavy. Maybe you are in the middle of a season of waiting. Maybe you have experienced the silence of a loss that most people never saw. Maybe you are raising your children through hard days, exhausted and wondering if you are doing enough.
I have been in more than one of those places. I know what it feels like to love someone you never got to bring home. I know what it feels like to scroll past Mother's Day content and feel the ache of that.
If that is you today, I want you to know you are not forgotten in this celebration. Your love is real. Your loss is real. And you are seen.
Motherhood has taught me more about resilience than anything else in my life. It is not always natural. It is not always graceful. Some days it is simply choosing to show up even when you are running on empty. That is strength. That is love.
Proverbs 31:25 says she is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future. I believe that verse was written for every woman walking this road, however it looks for her today.
To the mothers holding their babies this morning, happy Mother's Day.
To the mothers whose babies are waiting for them in heaven, you are a mother too. Today belongs to you as well.
To the women still waiting and hoping, your story is not over.
You are all seen. You are all loved.
Happy Mother's Day.
